about

"The Napkin Project is a fun way to remind people that little shifts in actions, really do make a large impact. This little project has ignited 'green thinking' and it brings beauty to the table... it's a win/win.”

ECO-FRIENDLY. SUSTAINABLE. ZERO WASTE.
“Most of us are familiar with recycle and reusing, but how often do we think of the third R-Reduce? ‘Reduce’ is probably the most important of the three R’s because, if we reduced, it would limit the need to recycle and reuse.”
~Catherine Pulsifer
"I'm fascinated with this ancient art. In today's high speed, techno production world, the practice of a slow and repetitive
process like block printing is refreshing."
Our napkins are all produced by Indian block printing. The process of wood block printing can take 4-5 carvers up to three days to create a single block of teak, the hand-held medium for transferring color to textile. The craftsmen and women may use up to 30 teak blocks just to complete one design. The end result is textile that is vibrant in pattern and in color.
